Gus Chimos

Chief Operating Officer

  • Gus Chimos is a strategic executive with a strong track record of driving revenue growth and operational excellence. At Skywire, Gus oversees Residential and Commercial Sales, Marketing, Product and Sales Operations.
  • Prior to joining Skywire, Gus served as Head of Operations at Archtop Fiber, where he led improvements across customer service, field operations, and logistics. At Astound Broadband, he was SVP of Business Solutions, leading the commercial transformation with a focus on revenue generation, product innovation, and post-acquisition integration. Gus has held leadership roles across sales, operations, product, and finance at Cablevision (now Altice USA), Bresnan Communications, and Teleport Communications Group, consistently delivering measurable business impact across complex, growth-focused environments.
  • Gus holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Information Systems from New York University's Stern School of Business.

Derek Watson

Chief Financial Officer

  • Derek Watson is an accomplished financial executive with a 20-year successful track record of leading strategy and finance organizations across public companies, private equity-backed businesses and institutionally backed growth platforms. At Skywire, Derek oversees financial planning and analysis, accounting, treasury, tax, audit, legal, and supply chain, partnering closely with the executive team to align financial strategy with Skywire's long-term growth and operational objectives.
  • Previously, Derek served as CFO of Columbia Care, a publicly traded, vertically integrated company with more than 100 retail and cultivation locations across the United States. He also held positions as CFO and Chief Commercial Officer of a private equity–backed national retailer, CFO roles within large U.S. and international hospitality and restaurant groups, and Head of Strategy and CFO of a billion-dollar industrial products and services company.
  • Derek holds a BA (Hons) in Accounting & Finance from Kingston University in London and an MBA from Columbia University.

  • Mary Jenson has over 15 years of progressive human resources leadership experience, specializing in building and scaling people functions within fast-paced, technology-driven, and creative industries. As Head of People, Mary is responsible for aligning the company’s talent strategy with its strategic business goals, driving organizational effectiveness, and cultivating a high-performing culture where talent can thrive. She is a trusted advisor to executive leadership, with deep expertise in leading change initiatives during periods of transformation and growth.
  • Prior to joining Skywire, Mary served as the Director of People & Culture at Barbarian in New York, where she was instrumental in leading people and culture initiatives designed to strengthen employee engagement and leadership capability. Previously, she spent nearly a decade at Framestore, where she built the U.S. HR function from the ground up, successfully launching and scaling infrastructure for multiple domestic offices while serving as the senior HR partner to the U.S. leadership team.
  • She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources Management from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.

  • Joe Soltykiewicz brings over 25 years of leadership in engineering and operations across the telecommunications and technology sectors. He has led global teams through large-scale network deployments, product development, and operational transformations.
  • Prior to Skywire Networks, Joe served as VP of Engineering & Operations at Boldyn Networks, where he led the $1B NYC subway 5G project. He also held executive roles at Nokia, overseeing a global R&D operation. Joe is recognized for delivering sustainable growth, improving operational efficiency, and driving shareholder value. A published author on manufacturing best practices, Joe blends technical depth with strategic execution to scale businesses and deliver results.
  • Joe holds an MBA from Northwestern University and master's and bachelor's degrees in mechanical engineering from the University of Illinois.
